Sub-Working Group 2.1
Data Collection, Analysis, and Trends Including Early Warning
Development of impactful strategies to address synthetic drugs requires timely and rigorous data covering the full range of trends and activities, including consumption patterns, drug use consequences, prevention, harm reduction, treatment, recovery, drug production, transportation and distribution by drug trafficking organizations, and many more. Accordingly, Sub-Working Group 2.1 concentrates on improving data collection globally, improving analytical capabilities within health systems, law enforcement agencies, research observatories and beyond to identify emerging threats and strengthen early warning systems.
